Myriam Francois-Cerrah is a woman I greatly admire. A Muslim convert. A writer. An intellectual. A journalist and a PhD candidate at Oxford University, masha'Allah. Amongst many other roles, she is also a wife, a mother and active blogger. She is the perfect example of a Muslimah Empowered!
If you find her absolutely inspiring like I do then I have some exciting news for you. She will be one of the speakers at a women' only conference in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, 30th June 2012 called 2 Being Me: Muslimah Empowered. Other confirmed speakers include Yasmin Mogahed (US), Sheikh Tawfique Chowdhury (Australia) and Sheikh Yahya Adel Ibrahim (Australia) and many, many more inspiring Muslim leaders and scholars. Inshaa Allah, bloggers such as Maria Elena, Shea Rasol and Yana Khairuddin will be attending too.
This is the tentative schedule for the conference. Tickets are currently sold at RM 100 per adult up until the 31st of May 2012. From then onward it will be RM 150. There is also an opportunity for all you Muslimah entrepreneurs out there to hire a stall at the bazaar. A daycare centre for children will also be provided inshaa Allah.

I justread one of her articles/lectures on her blog and it's so thought provoking.These are the type of role models muslim women and girls need.I mean she graduated from both Oxford and Cambridge.Wouldn't the most heardhearted of people be impressed with that.But she adds a layer to something that you think has already been fully developed(at least in understanding).I look forward to reading some more of her articles
