Myriam Francois-Cerrah is a woman I greatly admire. A Muslim convert. A writer. An intellectual. A journalist and a PhD candidate at Oxford University, masha'Allah. Amongst many other roles, she is also a wife, a mother and active bloggerShe is the perfect example of a Muslimah Empowered!

I would book a ticket to KL for this, if not for the fact that I am working on this date. :(

Here's hoping a similar event will be organised in Singapore, or insya Allah this event will be organised again.

Have fun!

*Wishing I lived in Malaysia right now*

Would you happen to know if this conference will be broadcasted live/recorded?

a little FYI: I found about Myriam Francois-Cerrah in an unconventional way. If you are a Jane Austen fan, you'll recognize her as the baby sister in the movie Sense & Sensibility with Hugh Grant, Kate Winslet, and Emma Thompson.

I justread one of her articles/lectures on her blog and it's so thought provoking. These are the type of role models muslim women and girls need.I mean she graduated from both Oxford and Cambridge.Wouldn't the most heardhearted of people be impressed with that. But she adds a layer to something that you think has already been fully developed(at least in understanding).I look forward to reading some more of her articles
