La Isla Bonita: Lang Tengah {Part I}

Last month my family and I went on a 'surprise' holiday which my brother had organised for us. He didn't give us much details. All we knew was that we would be going to an island on the east coast of Malaysia. Just outside the city of Kuala Terengganu. It was my first trip to the state of Terengganu and I was really looking forward to it. But I had no idea that I was about to go on the most memorable holiday with my family.

After a 45-minute flight from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Terengganu we were greeted by a chauffeur who took us to a jetty where we waited for a boat to take us to this 'mystery' island. It was raining heavily but I didn't mind it at all. I felt it was part of the adventure. We waited for more than 30 minutes. The delay was caused by a storm which happened earlier in the morning.

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head: Enjoying the scene at the jetty before the rain eventually eased down.

Rock the boat: When the rain stopped we went on a boat with this lovely German couple who felt nervous  because we were told it was going to be a bumpy 45 minute ride. And one bumpy and fun ride it was - what an adventure! The sea was very choppy because of the storm earlier. At this point I still wasn't aware which island we were going to but when we arrived I couldn't believe my eyes. I didn't know Malaysian beaches could be this beautiful, subhanaAllah. I fell in love with the island instantly.

Mesmerised: When we arrived at our resort that was when I finally knew where we were - Sari Pacifica Resort, Lang Tengah. It was such a funny sight to see the bellboys running on the long jetty with the luggage trolley. I usually see bellboys inside hotels... not out at the sea! But this place was so gorgeous I felt like I was in a different country... or world!

Yeah, I was totally dressed for a boat ride... not.

Wait for Part 2 to see more of this very private and lush resort.
Have an awesome Monday everyone! =)

Well dear, Welcome to Terengganu.. Semua pantainya gojes.. White Sandy Beaches. I grew up there, so the closest nice beach in M'sia to me is Langkawi or Pangkor. Other than that, it's gotta be way to Phuket, dear.. ;)

@Zafrul, yes, not many people know about it which is why it's perfect for those who want more privacy compared to Pulau Perhentian and Pulau Redang =) I think you can find out the rates from their website: http://langtengah.saripacifica.com/index

@Tak Pe Je, I think Mabul, Sabah is very, very beautiful. Would love to go there next. *dreams away*

Travelling tips? Apart from make sure you bring your camera, memory card and battery charger, and some cash, I don't have much to say. Depends on where you're going I guess!

@Feda, thank you! =)
