Style Sunday: It's Never Too Late to Wear Red

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Dresses are great,
But pants are so underrated, true?

Okay, I can be really cheesy like that. I couldn't help it ;) I wore this outfit to a meeting about an upcoming event I will be part of, inshaAllah, and what makes a monochrome ensemble a bit interesting? Red lipstick, of course.

Modest street fashion photographer and globetrotter from Detroit, Langston Hues, will be in Kuala Lumpur and we are hosting an event featuring the man himself, Natasha Hudson and Mizz Nina on 23rd February 2014. It will be held at 8 pm, Talent Lounge, Damansara Perdana.

As part of his upcoming book on modest street fashion, Hues has been travelling all around the world to meet and photograph modest fashion icons and lovers such as Yaz the Spaz, Dina Tokio and Amenakin and we welcome all modest fashion bloggers and enthusiasts from all faiths, beliefs and backgrounds to our event on Sunday, 23rd February! We will be discussing the evolution of modest street fashion and how it relates to our personal beliefs and aspirations as women.

Go ahead, check out Hues' work thus far: WEBSITEINSTAGRAM | YOUTUBE

How I wish he came to Spain, at least Spain and maybe I can convince my parents to let me go to the city he choses, but being honest, I have to say that the modest fashion industry, the modest fashion blogsphere, specially from muslim girls isn't something that is very popular in Spain, I don't mean that it's unliked, it's just not popular.

Anyway, moving onto your otfit, I LOVE IT! you rock it girl! ;)
And can't agree more with your statement about red lips, I'm loving them right now!

@Laila, really? I kinda imagined it would kinda be popular because there's quite a population of Muslims there! It would be such a shame if he doesn't visit Spain.
