How Can You Say God is Just?

People often question, "Why do good things happen to bad people? How can you say God is just?"

Simple.

Because ease is also a test.
When Allah (swt) provides comfort, prosperity and auspiciousness in someone's life,
He is testing to see whether that person will be grateful towards Him or not.

Will they do good deeds with the favours Allah has given?
Will they be humble and continue to strive to become a better Muslim?

We often complain and become frustrated when hardship befalls on us.
Yes, hardship is a test but it is also a way for Him to purify us and alleviate our spiritual state (darajah).
Thus we must try to accept His tests and we must also help those who are in difficulty instead of scoffing at them.
In a way, their test is also our test.

 And We dispersed them through the earth in communities - some were righteous, others were not -and We tested them with prosperity and adversity that they may turn to us.
{Quran, Surah Al A'raf, 7:168}

"Whenever a Muslim is afflicted with a hardship, sickness, sadness, worry, harm, or depression --even a thorn's prick, Allah expiates his sins because of it."  Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him {Sahih Bukhari}

God truly is Al-'Adl (the Most Just).

agree with you. hardship and ease; both are tests given by Allah. too much of easy things in life sometimes make us forget, deviated from the right path. but too much of hardship pun sometimes make us feel frustrated, angered and probably felt like we're being forgotten. but actually, Allah has it all well planned for us. for along every hardship is relief. thats what Allah has promised us; as long as we are patiently obedient to Him.

selamat berpuasa, sha **hugs**
