Vivy's Picture Perfect Bridal Shower

Engagement ceremony ☑  Bridal shower    Cute little girl stealing Vivy's spotlight
Nikah and wedding reception  In 2 weeks' time inshaa Allah

I shouldn't be blogging right now but before I forget to blog about it, here's a post about Vivy's bridal shower last Sunday. I know you guys will love the pictures!

(Photos are courtesy of Ireena. Thank you so much!)

All of the decoration were DIY and done by her two bridesmaids, Ajjrina and Asma' (and their wonderful little helpers). Yes, you best believe it. I think those two can quit their day jobs and just do this for a living. Everything looked picture perfect. Well done girls!

While blindfolded, Vivy was escorted to the secret location a.k.a. Ajjrina's backyard. You can see how happy she was to see everyone there. By the way, her very elegant dress is a ready-made by Nurita Harith. It was a pastel themed bridal shower and therefore all the guests wore sweet, soft tones. I don't have any photos of my outfit to share as most of the pictures of myself on Ireena's camera are without hijab. I hadn't been to an all girls' party in months so it felt really nice to dress up and let my hair down at a fancy event sans men!

It's okay, you can drool. I won't judge you.

Asma' made these yummy desserts - strawberry shortcake (in those little jars), chocolate and strawberry cake (rose cake), chocolate eclairs and the most incredible butter cookies (shaped in hearts and wedding cakes) I've ever tasted. I'm not exaggerating, I swear. I took one bite and fell in love. I-have-died-everyday-waiting-for-you kind of love. You have to pay Asma's website a visit -- http://www.gateauxlicious.com/!

The real reason why everyone came: good food.

Okay, okay, we came for Vivy too. There were games and a gift opening session after we ate. We bought funny but useful gifts for her. I came up with a 'Newlyweds Survival Kit', a great idea I found through Google. And now we have the nikah (solemnisation) and wedding reception to look forward to. Can't wait!

Everything looked so lovely and perfect! I think having it at Ajjie's backyard is a great idea since Vivy has been spending a lot of her time since her childhood there !
Sha, just curious. That transparent tent kan..does it provide enough protection under hot sun? If yes, I would want to use it for my baby's aqiqah :)

@suzz, I don't think it will provide protection from the hot sun.. it is transparent. From rain, yes!
