Amenakin & Sh. Abdal Hakim Murad on Beauty & Modesty

I adore Amenakin. I can relate to her in so many ways. In fact, she's one of the first few women who inspired me to wear hijab, alhamdulillah, and I'm so happy she interviewed a Muslim scholar I truly admire, Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad (Timothy Winter). He is a Shaykh Zayed Lecturer of Islamic Studies in the Faculty of Divinity at Cambridge University and the Director of Studies in Theology at Wolfson College. I love listening to his intellectual and insightful lectures on spirituality and Islam and I'm glad this particular interview took place.

I am completly with you on the inspirational bit, her confidence in herself and the hijab inspired me alot as did your blog between the two of you and few other personal reasons .., Allah swt helped me and I embraced my hijab and have been wearing it for year and half- she is so lovely in real life as well. Shaykh Abdul Hakim Murad is very well spoken I was at a event only a week ago and he and shaykh Muhanmad al Yaqcoubi where the reason I went!

Muhammad Yazid (muhammadyazid.com) is a talented Malaysian comic artiste...some of his works are inspired by Shaykh Abdul Hakim Murad's talks...when it was Yazid's turn to speak during the last Creativity and the Spiritual Path KL...surprisingly he noticed the Shaykh was in teh crowd waiting for Yazid's presentation...needless to say, Yazid was in awe for a while...;D
