Ramadan in Putrajaya

Putra Mosque, Putrajaya

I was looking through my folders and found these photos I took during Ramadan this year. My family and I love to go mosque-hopping during Ramadan because every mosque has its own special aura but we love praying taraweeh regardless of where we are. We realised we hadn't prayed taraweeh in Putrajaya before so we spent a weekend in Putrajaya to experience both Putra Mosque and the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque (a.k.a. Iron Mosque).

The Moroccan-inspired Putra Mosque

I adore this masjid, mashaAllah. It could be because I'm always mesmerised by Moroccan and Moorish architecture as it feels as if they transport me back to a simpler time.

And my favourite photo from that night?

It would definitely have to be this one.

I have to show you photos of the Putrajaya Moroccan pavilion! Next post, inshaAllah :)

in the latter I notice some similarities with the mosque of Cordoba built by the Omayyad but takes Cathedral.
